DIR Floortime Certificate Courses & Other DIR Related Courses
DIRFloortime® Course Catalog
ICDL is the official home of the DIRFloortime® Training Program. Our DIR 101 Introduction to DIR® and DIRFloortime® course is for parents and professionals. Then, professionals can continue to progress through our certificate courses to become DIRFloortime® practitioners. To learn about the Training Program, please click here.
Policy Update as of May 18, 2021: We understand that many clinics and schools around the world remain closed which makes our case presentation format impractical or impossible for many. We have reworked our curriculum to temporarily allow participants to earn a Basic Certificate (DIR 201) without conducting a typical case presentation. This only applies to participants that are unable to work with children right now due to COVID and is not a "convenience option". We will use alternate learning processes such as role plays and case reflections to facilitate the learning and assess your understanding of the model.
For DIR 202 and DIR 203, case presentations are a requirement. However, we are fully accepting virtual online or phone sessions for the case presentations. We have always accepted this, but we want to make sure everyone knows it is an option.
This updated policy applies to all individuals that register for courses on or after May 18, 2021, regardless of when the course begins.

Most of our courses are live online and are open to participants from anywhere in the world. Please note the time zone listed for each class and check the time difference in your region. Onsite courses have a specific location listed under the name of the class.
Courses listed as "licensed" are courses approved by ICDL and taught by our expert trainers around the world. These are onsite courses and are not administered directly by ICDL. Please contact the trainer/organizer directly if you have any questions.
If you are interested in hosting an on-site training in your area, please click here for more information.
Please check each individual course offering for available professional continuing education credits. Each offering can vary. We have different continuing education pages and approvals for different courses and conferences. You must check each individual offering.
ICDL provides continuing education (CE) credits for certain professions. These CE credits are only available for courses ICDL offers directly. Available continuing education varies by course offering. Please check the specific course offering for continuing education information. Currently, many of ICDL's courses offer professional continuing education credits for:
Speech and language pathologists
Early Intervention Specialists
In addition to courses offered by ICDL, our course catalog will also display courses licensed by ICDL that use the ICDL curriculum and are fully approved by ICDL to be official DIRFloortime® courses. However, ICDL does not provide CE credits for these courses. These are all clearly marked. Please contact the provider of any ICDL licensed courses to inquire about CE credits.
All participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance documenting hours of participation in their course and available professional continuing education credits. Please note that continuing education credit is only provided for direct seat time. Course preparation including readings, lectures, and mentoring is not included in the CE hour or credit total.

Group and Individual Mentoring
Mentoring is an important part of the DIRFloortime learning journey. ICDL does not directly provide the mentoring. We will help make arrangements, but all agreements and financial transactions are between you and the mentor. You can find mentors listed on our DIRectory website by clicking here. This does not include all eligible mentors, but shows all Expert Training Leaders that have indicated in their profile that this is an area they do work and would accept referrals. If you are not successful in finding a mentor, please e-mail us at email@example.com and we’ll do our best to assist. All mentors must have at least an Expert level DIRFloortime provider certificate.
