ICDL's CEO, Dr. Guenzel, speaks at the ANISA World Autism Acceptance Day event.
To make a positive impact on individual's lives in New York State by promoting individual and caregiver choice, allowing relationship-based developmental methods to be more accessible to all families.
To provide an atmosphere in New York State that facilitates choice for individuals, parents, caregivers, and service providers for relationship-based developmental supports without financial constraints, with the goal of working together to support individuals across their lifespan. This encompasses educating individuals, parents, caregivers, service providers, and third-party payers regarding the benefits of relationship-based developmental methods and the need for informed choice for all individuals. Our vision is to see a world in which diverse individuals have equitable access to obtain and utilize relationship-based developmental supports.
There is a bill that has been sponsored and being considered that will expand the New York autism services insurance mandate to cover DIR as well as ABA. You can read the bill by clicking here.
Please email the DIR Coalition of New York with any ideas, suggestions, leads, questions, or anything else that can help make DIR more accessible and available to families in New York State.
