| Description |
For those beginning to integrate DIR® practice into their disciplines who have completed introductory courses and want more in-depth training to expand their experience. This program prepares you for the DIR® Clinical Specialist/ Educator Certificate Program
|
For experienced DIR® clinicians and educators prepared to demonstrate competencies in DIR® principles and practices in their existing disciplines. Includes assessment and intervention. Obtaining the Certificate can lead to consulting and trainer options.

For administrators of EI, Pre-school, and schools who are implementing educational programs using DIR® principles and providing in-service training programs for school staff. This program will focus on the structure and Practice of DIR® in early intervention and the classroom.

Entry Requirements |
Requires License or Credentials in your discipline
- Completed introductory level courses and study of the DIR® Model.
- Have beginning experience applying model.

Requires License or Credentials in your discipline
- Completed DIR®B or equivalent and practicing DIR® with range of developmental and infant mental health challenges.
|
Requires administrative experience and expected credentials in your area
- Currently running program with some staff or consultants who have DIR® Certificate or are Institute candidates. New programs in planning stages also welcome.

Minimum attendance at two summer Institutes and completion of requirements |

| Requirements for Completion |
|
Present three cases at Institute:
- Assessment and intervention with 6-12months old child
- Assessment and intervention with 18 months and older child
- Clinical challenge
(6 group hours = 1 individual) |
- "Case Study" of the administration of your program and methods implemented to support DIR® practice.
- Certificate provided in conjunction with DIR® License
- Recommended: Site visits at other DIR® based programs and special retreats.
