Please read carefully the instructions to complete the following application materials:

• Resume: Submit an updated version of your resume or curriculum vitae detailing your education, employment history, publications, honors and awards, computer skills, language fluency and proficiency, and membership in professional organizations. Give special attention to previous experience conducting research and/or working with infants, young children and families promoting healthy development, infant mental health or rehabilitation support due to developmental delays. List your activities and experiences in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent.
  • You will be asked to upload your Resume as a word or PDF document when completing your online application
• Personal Statement: On a separate word document type a Personal Statement explaining your motivation to join the ICDL Graduate School to complete a PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Developmental Disorders.  Length: 1-2 pages single spaced, font 12
  • You will be asked to upload your Personal Statement as a Word or PDF document when completing your online application
• Official Transcripts: Official transcripts are required from all colleges and universities attended, even if you did not earn credit, complete the program, or the credit appears as transfer credit on another transcript. Please contact each college and university attended and have them send an official transcript to the following address:

    • If you would like to expedite this process, you may mail them yourself by obtaining the official transcript(s) in a sealed, unopened envelope and send to the above address.

  • International students: If academic records are in a language other than English, a certified English translation must be provided along with the official transcript.  Translations alone will not be accepted. In cases where the CAO is not familiar with certain international university credentials, the ICDL Graduate School will request international applicants to obtain an independent evaluation of their international educational credentials from one of the following organizations: International Education Research Foundation (IERF), World Education Services (WES), American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).
• Letters of Recommendation: Download two (2) copies of the ICDL Graduate School Letter of Recommendation Form. Request two (2) professionals who have experience in working with infants, young children, and their families, to complete this form. Recommendation letters may be supplemented with a letter from a parent of a child with special needs. Recommendations should be mailed in sealed envelopes signed by your recommenders across the seal. Ensure that the two letters of recommendations are mailed to the following address:

• Online Application: To expedite your online application process, you will need to have your Resume and your Personal Statement ready to upload when requested. The Online Application Form is available on a secure website and can be accessed and viewed only by you and authorized admission personnel of the ICDL Graduate School. This information will be treated with the highest regards for privacy and will not be sold, rented, or transferred. You can complete this online application in one or several steps. If you decide to complete the application in two or more steps, please complete the first section (personal information) and click “save and continue”. You will receive an email with an ID that will allow you to return to your personal application form and complete the following sections at your own pace. If you have an e-mail filtering system to prevent spam or junk e-mails, please add admissions@icdl.com to your list of friends or check in your spam or junk folders if you have received an email from admissions@icdl.com.
